[methodology]
Our training methodology is experiential. What does experiential
mean? Winston Churchill put it like this:
“To look is one thing, to see what you look at is
another; to understand what you see is yet another; to learn
from what you understand is something else; but to act on
what you learn is what really matters.”
Delegates are given appropriate tasks to perform which
are specifically designed to reveal the existing team and
leadership dynamics and individual skill levels. This is
non-threatening and non-evaluative: the process itself reveals
the patterns and the team members recognize them.
It is the team members and leader themselves who decide,
based on what has been revealed, what needs to be changed
to improve the performance of the team and of its members.
These new behaviours are then practiced and tested, to ascertain
that they are beneficial.
Experiential training has the ability to change existing
patterns and allow delegates to actually apply what they
have learned.
