Socialise with your team!  Have fun and why not learn how to mix a cocktail or two, while you are doing it? Work with professional equipment in the form of mixers, measurers and shakers, while our trained facilitators help you learn what best mixes with what and assist you in creating your cocktail masterpiece.

It all comes together beautifully in the evening before dinner or even at the start of a conference. The ice is literally broken or crushed, colours and cordials mixed and accessories added. Everything from straws to strawberries, slices of lime to lime green umbrellas and every time a healthy tot of laughter!

Then the tension mounts, the hearts pound as the judges do their rounds. Our winners are toasted and everyone raises their glasses in celebration, a fantastic start or even end to the journey for the group.

What the team will experience?


The team will socialise and unwind while working together in a fantastically organised and creative way. Each team member will create his or her own final product either for individual sampling or as part of the team presentation.

It's a fantastic icebreaker and head start to teaming more closely and effectively. Crazy Cocktails is for everyone from the budding bar enthusiast to the novice mixer and all the equipment is top class - shakers, tot glasses, pourers, crushers, blenders and so much more. And the teams make it all. We are there as a resource, but you do it all, even the frosting of the glasses. All in a matter of hours! You will be astounded at the result.

At the end of the Crazy Cocktail experience, teams have the opportunity to view and sample each of the submissions on display as our judging panel does the same. It all comes together nicely in a small, informal awards wrap-up where everyone's creativity and innovation is rewarded.
 

More information on the Process

Process Logistics:

The group will be briefed and divided into teams of + 3 to 5 delegates each.  Each of the teams will have the opportunity to make at least one Crazy Cocktail.
 
They will conceptualise, plan, select their ingredients, choose a glass and accessories and prepare a presentation on their cocktail.
 
Each team will have their own set of equipment:

  • Mixers and cordials
  • Shakers
  • Blenders
  • Fruits, ice and ice buckets
  • Tot glasses and accessories (umbrellas, straws, sugar etc.)
  • Rinsing bowls and rubber mats

From our side we will have two types of facilitators working with the group:

  1. Process facilitators: they focus on team dynamics and ensure that the purpose of the day is achieved. In other words, is the right message being delivered and pouring out into the cocktails.
     
  2. Technical facilitators: they assist with how to use the various apparatus, glass selection and general help and assistance with recipes and techniques.

The process is divided into three phases:

  1. Brief and Orientation
    • Crazy Cocktails introductory video
    • Brief
    • Delegates are put into teams (this is left to your discretion)
    • Allocation of key hats:
      Head Bartender, Bartenders, Mixers, Choppers & Slicers, Presenters / Storytellers
    • Asses tools and apparatus, ingredients, and accessories, plan and create cocktail recipe
       
  2. Mix and Match
    • Ready? Steady - Mix!
    • The chopping and slicing begins
    • Crushing and blending, pouring and stirring
    • Head Bartenders work with their teams to create the cocktails, sample the drinks and tweak them if possible
    • Storytellers build and write their presentations, practice them and assist in the prepping and display of the cocktails
    • Additional cocktails are made for general consumption and socialising by the group
       
  3. Present
    • All the cocktails are put on display
    • The judges and delegates, view and sample the final submissions
    • Music is played as the group socialises and judges deliberate
    • Awards are handed out in a variety of categories
    • Acceptance speeches are made

Crazy Cocktails is the ideal platform to get to know your colleagues better, while finding your group's unique chemistry. Your teams will be given all the tools they need to breathe life into their "Michelangelo Martini" or giggle over their "Fuzzy Frankenstein". Everything from Shakers, Mixers, Openers and Spouts, as you twist, twirl and shake your masterpiece to life.

Our friendly facilitators are on hand to provide their technical taste buds, sampling the concoctions and offering guidance and advice. But that's not all... For what is a glowing, multicoloured mix, without a catchy name and a legendary story to illustrate its journey of creation?

Get the teams' imagination working as you put pen to paper on your cocktail creations. The judges will be looking for original stories, catchy names and visually stimulating cocktails - but in the end it all comes down to the taste and presentation.

The awards are given, the music starts playing and there is nothing left to do but enjoy the fruits of your labour. Relax, unwind and swap stories with your colleagues as you "shake" the night away.
